Our Lady of the Upside Down

These were my Easter project: leaf print Easter eggs. They were blown out before dyeing because I had a feeling I would want to hang on to them. The early spring meant I had lots of options; for the red egg I found a maple sapling that had just sprouted. The blue is a ground mint leaf. If I had known how well the leaf veining would be captured by the process, I would have made a lot more!

Harry Potter Text Book Covers

I designed seven book covers as Halloween decorations. But the front of each book is an actual book from the Harry Potter books and movies.

DIY Beaded Spider Tutorial. I saw these gorgeous spiders by Kathy Shaw, but didn’t post them because there wasn’t a tutorial. But now there is and you can make the one on the bottom right at Shawkl here. Other examples of these spiders can be found here. Now do I put this under Halloween or Christmas gift? I think my severely arachnophobic friend has stopped reading my Tumblr blog right around the time I started posting Halloween things :(  *combatshadowbabyv2 in her reblog added that the spider could be used as a hair clip. Why didn’t I think of that?
